Accidental Love Chapter 3

All of sudden in a matter of seconds I had felt a sharp sudden pain in my stomach, I buckled over and ended up on the ground. I could feel  my shirt becoming wet from the blood that was pouring out of my stomach, I tried to stop it by putting my hand on it but it didn't help all it did was cover my own hand in blood. As I saw my hand covered in blood I could feel myself being dizzy and lightheaded.  I heard shots being fired again at the shooter by what could hear they got the guy because there was a yelp and the sound of handcuffs going together. After Gibbs had handcuffed the guy Tony came rushing over, and tried to slow the bleeding, but it was no good, the wound was too deep.
"Tony" I cried out in agony" help m m me. I could see darkness starting to show into my vision, it wasn't long before I feel unconscious.

I found myself waking up again and as I looked around I could see I was inside a hospital. As I gained focus I saw Tony asleep with his hand holing mine, Abby asleep on the ground and ducky asleep in a chair looking very peaceful. I stared at Tony for a while, who looked like he has never left since the shooting because he still had blood on his hand from when he was trying to stop my bleeding. I tried to sit up but as I did my stomach screamed in agony, I let out a little groan which woke Tony up.

"Ziva what are you Doing don't get up" Tony said urgently.

"How long was I out" I asked staring at Tony worried face.

"Two days" he said looking relieved from the fact that I had finally woken up.

Tony why have you not changed" I said thinking how that whenever I have injured myself that he has always been there to help. It started to make think that he really did have feelings for me, and maybe there was a chance that this relationship could go further than "just friends".

"Because I wanted to be here when you woke up", he said looking into my eyes." The truth is Ziva there is some-"

"Ziva your awake"  Abby said with a look of worry and relief at the same time, "are you ok you feeling alright, I was so worried when I hear you had gotten shot and I was hoping you hadn't been To hurt, because last time I had heard someone had been shot Kate was killed and I don't want to lose another friend-"

"Abby calm down", I said with a peaceful voice, "I'm fine just a little sore".

I was in Hospital for another two days before I was allowed to go back home, Tony was nice enough to take me home because I was still a little sore and it hurt me to walk. Just before we were driving down my street, Tony started to grumble a bit like he was contemplating saying something by every time he went he couldn't get the words out. I'm guessing he eventually gave up because eventually he stopped.

A week after returning home Gibbs allowed me to return back to work. While I was at home I took a good chance to create a scrapbook of all my memories with my friends at NCIS. After being shot I realized that if I didn't come out as lucky as I did this time I would like someone to know how much I loved my new lifestyle here in America, and how much my friends cared to me.

Two days went by and we still had no case to work on, and we had all finished our paperwork, so I decided to go down and visit Abby. It had been so long since we last hung out together for some quality "girl time" as Tony likes to say, but all he thinks all we do is have pillow fights and hang around in our underwear.

I heard the ding of the elevator and I walk into the elevator, I pressed the number of Abby's floor and the doors started to close. Just as they were about to close shut a hand came between them and the doors opened again, Tony was standing there. I stood there for a while just staring at him until I finally gave him the nod to get on. The whole elevator trip down was completely silent, so silent you could hear a pip drop on the ground. The elevator dinged again and the doors opened, I was the first to leave because I was anxious to say hello to Abby.  I entered Abby lab and realized that Tony did not follow, that made me curious because I did not think he would need to see ducky. I had phased out for a while because the next thing I knew I was getting hugged by Abby.

"Ziva how are you", Abby said happily and with the biggest smile on her face.

"Yeah good still a tad sore but I'll get through it", I replied reassuring her.

We kept on talking for the rest of the Afternoon. It wasn't until Gibbs came down wondering where I had gotten to that I realized that it was time to go home.

When I got home I went and took a nice long bubble bath. That gave me time to think if there was any way that Gibbs would let anything happen between me and Tony. After spending two hours soaking in the nice warm bath, I got out and hopped into bed. I laid there for a while until I eventually drifted to sleep.

Another two days when by and we still had no case to work on. We all found ourselves at the bar, relaxing on a Friday night and enjoying a "cold one". We were all enjoying ourselves and winding down from what had to be the least stressful week ever, but we all knew that next week would be back to normal.
